NCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Notification Out for 1,607 Apprentice Posts
Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a Mini Ratna Company and subsidiary of Coal India Limited, has released the NCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification for engagement of 1,607 Apprentice Trainees in Graduate, Diploma, ITI Trade and Paramedical disciplines. Eligible candidates can apply online through the NATS or NAPS portal from 1 June 2026 to 15 June 2026.
The apprenticeship training will be conducted for a period of one year under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Candidates who have completed their qualifications from recognized institutions located in Uttar Pradesh or Madhya Pradesh are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess the prescribed Degree, Diploma, ITI Trade Certificate or Paramedical qualification from a recognized University/Institute approved by AICTE, UGC, BTE, NCVT, SCVT or other competent authority.

- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 26 Years

- SC/ST: 5 Years
- OBC (NCL): 3 Years
- PwBD: 10 Years
- PwBD SC/ST: 15 Years
- PwBD OBC: 13 Years
Important Eligibility Conditions
- Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- Qualification should not have been completed before June 2022.
- Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training are not eligible.
- Candidates with one year or more job experience are not eligible.
- Distance learning and part-time qualifications are not accepted.
- Higher qualifications than the prescribed qualification will not be considered.
Selection Process
The selection will be based purely on merit.
Graduate & Diploma Apprentices
Merit will be prepared based on marks obtained in the qualifying Degree/Diploma examination.
ITI Apprentices
Merit will be prepared based on the average percentage of:
- Matriculation (10th)
- ITI Trade Certificate
In case of a tie, older candidates will be given preference.
