UPSC invites applications for the post of Medical Officer in the Directorate of Health Services, Andaman & Nicobar Administration.

Qualification:
i) A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (Other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of Educational Qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in Sub-section (3) of Section (13) of the IMC Act, 1956.
(ii) Completion of compulsory rotating internship candidates who may not have completed rotating internship shall also be eligible to apply for the post, provided that, if selected, they shall have satisfactorily completed the compulsory internship before appointment.
DUTIES: The Medical Officer will provide outpatient and inpatient care in the PHCs and Health Institutions of the A&N Administration. They are responsible for implementation of all National Health programmes and normal supervising and administrative function. HQ: Any place in the A&N Islands where Health Institution under the A&B Admn are functioning.
